Christmas in July and Crochet Snowflakes

I love summer!

Camping, BBQ's, family time, fresh fruits and veggies, the pool, vacations, quick weekend get-aways. Locally, there are so many celebrations for each city/town that there is generally a parade, carnival, or a rodeo going on all summer long

Farmers/Summer Markets are also a favorite!

In addition to the farm fresh fruits and vegetables available, you can find lots of local artists selling their artwork. I have been seeing lots of Christmas gifts and decor showing up at these markets.

I am always on the look-out for the perfect Christmas gift for everyone in my family. So I have to start my shopping early.......very early! I have had the best luck finding those gifts at markets. I have also found the most fun and creative holiday decor at these markets.

My grandmother crocheted snowflakes like these. They are delicate looking, beautiful, and intricate!

I love them.

They have become a family heirloom.

I made several when my oldest was a small girl. Then I got busy with being a parent and life. A few years ago she asked me to make more of these snowflakes so that she could put them on her tree.

I have a few of my snowflake ornaments in my store. Check them out!
